The kids and I got decked out for an evening on the town. We saw the Tucson Symphony play some Beethoven pieces. It was not necessarily culture shock, since we do listen to classical music while in the schoolroom. Believe it or not, heavy metal and hip hoppish gospel are not the only genres of choice. It was a nice experience to get out of the house to, I will say, despite the fact that I kept falling asleep. Lesson learned. Going to a concert where it is improper to stand or move around, with really nothing much to see is definitely not our thing.
Larry and Mo are mostly visual learners. They heard the music just fine, but it was not soothing to the soul for sure. Perhaps a musical would be more of their style. A visual representation would paint a better picture and at least make the music enjoyable for these two clowns. Curly and I are auditory learners. Falling asleep is my excuse as to why $15 was wasted on an adult admission. As for the other Stooge, she enjoys examining sound with a bit of a tactile flair. A concert where one is expected to get up and dance would be more her style. I honestly was not bored. Stress is the cause of my sleepiness, and I regret that I did not make the most out my admission, but at least we got out of the house and tried something new. I doubt we will attend a symphony again, though.

Hey, I got dressed up too! It is a strange feeling to feel good and awful at the same time. 30 is the new 20 in my book.
